What we've Accomplished

Founding of the Imperial Towers Community Garden

At Imperial Towers Community Garden, we aim to grow both our community, and our green garden each and every day. Imperial Towers Community Garden was founded two years ago by IT Garden Committee members Vicky Rozich, Gene Arbetter, Lynne Grady, and Brian Whiteley with a vision to beautify our shared spaces.

Since then, we’ve managed to gain the support of the elected IT Board, establish by-laws, confirm the safety of the sundeck for our purposes, build relationships with community partners, and enroll gardeners for our inaugural growing season.

The Garden Committee is proud to announce we have been awarded a 2019 Cook Fresh® Community Urban Garden Grant for the benefit of our gardeners and the Imperial Towers Community.

We are excited for all we have planned for the future.  We encourage community members of all ages to join us as gardeners, observers, event participants, or sponsors.

For our active gardeners, we hope you will join in and learn to grow for your enjoyment.

Mission Statement

The Imperial Towers Community Garden is a collective effort to enhance the natural beauty of our concrete urban setting for the enjoyment of its residents.  This will be achieved through the individual plots and community growing spaces with the purpose to bring fresh produce, herbs, and flowers; as well as learning opportunities to its gardeners and those who would like to participate.  This will foster personal connections and additional garden space for all residents to enjoy through active gardening or peaceful observation.
